How to use a folder with an icon synchronized through OneDrive

The following steps describe a scenario with two computers (A and B), both using OneDrive.

Computer A
On your local OneDrive, select the folder and apply a design with CustomFolder. Then right-click a free area of the CustomFolder window, select Synchronized folders, and drag your folder into the panel. Share the folder with the user on Computer B — it will upload to OneDrive.

Computer B
The user opens OneDrive online, clicks Shared, finds the folder, right-clicks and selects Add shortcut to My files. OneDrive will download the folder to the PC. Open CustomFolder and add the folder in Synchronized folders as described above.

The customizations are maintained in Windows — they will not be visible in the OneDrive browser. When CustomFolder runs, it will display the most recent customization made on either PC.
